All of our stock regular slotted containers are manufactured to meet Rule 41, Item 222 and ASTM Standard Practice D5118. They are all 32 ECT test, single wall (unless otherwise noted). These are furnished flat in unitized bundles. Custom cartons board grade shall be dictated by the product and purpose of the carton, all board grades are available.

What size custom box do you need?

Box manufacturers prefer the dimensions of a box to be expressed and measured as inside dimensions. The dimensions are listed as length x width x depth x.   • I want to be sure I buy the best carton solution for my needs. What information do you need from me?

    Your PackageIt representative requires your product’s dimensions and weight, plus the method of protection you require. Once we have this information, we can help you find the most cost-effective carton style and size. 

  • Can you print my logo or custom text on the carton?

    Absolutely! PackageIt is your single-source solution for printed, customized cartons, boxes and packaging supplies. Depending on the application, we can flexo-print up to four colors or provide litho-lamination. Digital printing is also available for some projects.  

  • What is the typical lead-time for custom cartons?

    Lead times vary based on carton volume, box style and required tooling or print plates. Typical lead time is seven to 10 days, which may be expedited in certain circumstances. Ask a team member for more information. 

  • How does tooling affect my estimate?

    Depending on the box style and specifications, tooling costs vary considerably. Cartons with complex features cost more for tooling. We use a rotary cutting die for large-volume carton orders since it is the most efficient and accurate for high volume runs. Tooling prices are detailed in your estimate, so you can determine the best option for your budget.

  • Do you make your own print plates?

    No. Our print plates are produced by a manufacturer or plate maker. However, we manage the process from start to finish—until you approve the final proof.

  • Will you deliver my carton purchase—or can I pick it up?

    Delivery vs. pickup is your choice. We can deliver your product upon completion or store it for pickup at your convenience. Discuss storage options with your PackageIt team representative if this service is required.

  • Do you provide carton samples?

    Sure! We highly recommend customers approve their product samples before production. Typically, a representative sample of your product is produced in three days. PackageIt customers receive a print-card proof (if applicable) and an unprinted carton for testing of fit and function.

  • Can I print on the inside of my carton?

    This depends on the carton style. Ask your PackageIt representative for more information.

  • Do you carry both white and brown cartons?

    Yes, we produce custom cartons in white and brown. Typically, white boxes are white on the outside and brown on the inside.

  • Can you design or lay out my print?

    Absolutely. Based on printing complexity, we provide in-house layout or utilize the design services of our manufacturing partners.

  • Can you add features and customization to my box or carton?

    Yes! There are limitless options to satisfy your protection and presentation requirements, like foam inserts, handholds, die-cut trays, partitions, dividers, shelves, self-locking options or plastic molded trays. Ask our team for recommendations.
