By using thinner gauge TUF-R® BAGS instead of heavier gauge LDPE bags, our customers can save money and help reduce the impact on the environment. This is possible thanks to Tuf-R®'s unique resin blend that allows a thinner gauge bag to provide the same or better strength and puncture resistance than a standard low density bag of a thicker gauge.

The thinnest TUF-R® Performance Rated Bags have the strength and durability characteristics of 1mil LDPE bags. Likewise, standard (2 mil) and heavy (2.75 mil) TUF-R® Bags have the strength and durability of 3 mil and 4 mil LDPE bags respectively. Therefore, choosing TUF-R® Bags saves money compared to using heavier and more expensive low density polyethylene bags.
